Hoarding cleanup works when the plan is agreed on before anyone starts filling bags. We begin with a private walkthrough, set a room order with you or the family, and work in stages so decisions never get rushed. Arrivals are quiet and vehicles are unmarked, and our crews are briefed to keep the details of the job to themselves.
Sorting happens first, into keep, donate, recycle and discard. We set up staging areas, and we watch for documents, photographs, medication, keys, cash and valuables as we go, handing those directly to you rather than making a judgment call about them.
Once a room is cleared it receives a full deep clean: floors, walls, hard surfaces, kitchens and bathrooms, odor treatment and HEPA vacuuming to pull fine dust out of the space instead of moving it around.
We work alongside families and individuals, case managers and social workers, adult protective services, estate representatives, landlords and property managers. If more than one party is involved, we take direction from the single person you designate so nobody receives conflicting instructions on site.
Timelines vary. Some households want one long day; others prefer several shorter visits spread over weeks. Both work, and the pace is your call.
